Surgical tooth extraction

Our many years of experience with a wide range of cases related to tooth extractions—from very complex and difficult to relatively common—have allowed us to develop the most optimal approach for each situation.

Surgical tooth extractions performed in our clinic are carried out with the highest level of patient comfort and using appropriate anesthesia, which allows us to perform the procedure completely painlessly. We take care of every detail during the treatment, the final aesthetic result, and the patient’s comfort during the healing period. In cases where a tooth in the visible area must be removed, we prepare an aesthetic temporary restoration in advance.

Painless and complication-free extraction requires skill, experience, and precision. The way the procedure is performed has a crucial impact on the next stages of treatment and the final aesthetic outcome.

A properly selected extraction technique allows us to preserve as much natural tissue, bone, and gum structure as possible, which is essential not only for aesthetics but also for the possibility of placing dental implants in the future if needed.

Complex extractions, such as:

• impacted teeth,

• teeth embedded in bone,

• fractures below the gumline,
  require surgical intervention.

Surgical tooth removal in our practice is based on precise, targeted X-ray diagnostics (RTG) to avoid complications during the procedure. We then select the appropriate type of anesthesia to ensure maximum comfort for the patient.

Our clinical experience, combined with the use of advanced equipment and modern anesthesia systems, allows us to perform all extraction procedures without pain. By choosing the least invasive surgical technique, we also significantly speed up the healing and bone regeneration process.

Wisdom teeth should be removed when there is not enough space for them to erupt properly, when they cause pain, crowding of other teeth, or recurrent gum inflammation. In some cases, wisdom teeth are removed preventively to avoid future orthodontic issues or infections.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so the patient does not feel any pain. You may only experience a sensation of pressure during the extraction. After the procedure, slight swelling or discomfort may occur, but it usually subsides within a few days.

The healing process usually takes between 7 and 14 days, and in the case of more complex extractions, up to 3 weeks. It’s important to avoid smoking, drinking through a straw, and vigorous rinsing of the mouth to prevent a so-called dry socket.

Before the procedure, it is recommended to eat a light meal and inform the dentist about any medications you are taking as well as any chronic conditions. You should not consume alcohol or smoke cigarettes before the appointment. In some cases, the doctor may request a panoramic X-ray or 3D tomography scan.
