Periodontology
Comprehensive diagnostics and treatments provided in our practice allow patients to stop the progression of gum diseases and preserve their natural teeth for many years. For this purpose, we specialize in procedures within the field of dentistry focused on treating the tissues surrounding the tooth — periodontology.
For many years, we have effectively treated periodontal diseases by performing comprehensive periodontal procedures and using the latest methods and treatment protocols for tissues, gums, and conditions such as periodontitis. Our treatments are thorough and ensure that at every stage of the disease we stop its progression and repair the damage it has caused.
During regular check-up appointments, we examine the tissues around the teeth using a dedicated tool (a periodontal probe), which allows us to detect periodontal disease at an early stage. This enables us to make an accurate diagnosis, followed by effective treatment and regeneration of damaged tissues.
If the gums are inflamed, we perform treatments aimed at improving oral hygiene, thereby reducing inflammation and bacterial presence.
The procedures we perform help stop inflammation from spreading to neighboring tissues and teeth. However, it is important to remember that if the inflammatory process is not halted in time, periodontal disease — without proper treatment — can lead to severe complications and even tooth loss.
One increasingly common condition is periodontitis. Its development is rooted in poor oral hygiene, which is sometimes impossible to maintain adequately at home due to difficult access to bacterial deposits.
In our practice, we successfully treat periodontitis using the most effective modern methods and procedures, helping patients preserve their natural teeth for many years. Before treatment begins, each patient receives an individualized therapy plan, which includes removing the cause of inflammation (scaling) by eliminating bacteria found in dental plaque and tartar, as well as curettage of periodontal pockets and other treatments that minimize the risk of disease progression.
Scaling involves removing supra- and subgingival deposits using ultrasound, while curettage is often performed under anesthesia using a special ultrasonic tip combined with antibacterial irrigation of the periodontal pockets, allowing access to hidden sources of infection.
After scaling and curettage, we recommend regular check-up visits, as treating periodontitis is a complex process and, without ongoing monitoring, the disease may return at any time. During each visit, we assess oral hygiene and measure pocket depth. The combination of professional preventive care and surgical procedures helps preserve natural teeth for life.
